The 2009 11th Anniversary Half Marathon was another great success. The weather conditions were excellent and over 1,600 runners entered – a new record.

The overall Male winner was Ezekiel Chebon from Brackley & District with a time of 1:08:36 some 3 minutes outside the course record time of 1:05:20 set 3 years ago.

The Female winner was Becks Penty from Highgate Harriers with a time of 1:22:40, about 11 minutes behind the course record time of 1:11:33 set by GB athlete Liz Yelling in 2008.

The Team Challenge was won by Baker Tilly Allstars. Kimbells Solicitors, sponsors of the Team Challenge arranged a prize for the team raising the most money for the NSPCC by way of a free meal for up to 8 people at Las Iguanas at the Hub, Central Milton Keynes. Winner yet to be announced.

The organisers expect that the success of 2009 will take the total fund raised for the NSPCC to over £310,000 in the 11 years to date.

The 2010 12th Anniversary of the event has now been set for Sunday 18th July 2010. Full details will be available as soon as possible.
